Under the threat of light winds and high temperatures (around 40 C), the annual Tally Hobbs Memorial Regatta was conducted by Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club on February 10 and 11, 2024. Tally Hobbs is celebrated as the man who established the Flying Fifteen class in Western Australia back in the early 1950s.

John Hassen and Kevin Griffiths from South of Perth Yacht Club have won the 60th Australian Championship conducted by Lake Macquarie Yacht Club in January 2024. After a comparatively slow start to the event, three bullets on the third day put them back in contention, and some tactical sailing after that secured them the title

The 2023/2024 Tally Hobbs series will be hosted by Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club and sailed on Melville Water West in the mornings of Saturday February 10 and Sunday February 11, 2024.  The Notice of Race is now available either from here or here.

The 2023/24 Australian Flying Fifteen Championships will be held between Monday January 8, 2024 and Friday January 12, 2024 at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club in NSW. The Notice of Race is now available here.
