Two more heats of the 57th Australian Flying Fifteen Championships were sailed today (January 2). It was another excellent day for the WA sailors, with Sandgropers filling 7 out of the top 10 places in both races. After four heats, WA boats fill the top three placings overall for the regatta.

The 57th Australian Flying Fifteen Championships got underway today with two heats sailed in winds which progressively built during the afternoon from 10 up to 20 knots. After two races WA sailors hold six of the top ten positions.

A challenging afternoon for the sailors in Adelaide, with winds from the SW at 20-25 knots. Race Officer Jock took pity on the fleet and laid a course for a shortish 40 minute shakedown inside the outer harbour as he deemed the sea conditions outside the harbour not suitable for a reasonable race.
