John Hassen and Kevin Griffiths from South of Perth Yacht Club have won the 60th Australian Championship conducted by Lake Macquarie Yacht Club in January 2024. After a comparatively slow start to the event, three bullets on the third day put them back in contention, and some tactical sailing after that secured them the title and the Coweslip trophy.   Karen and Russell Dawes, also from South of Perth Yacht Club, won the consistency event and finished 5th overall.  Congratulations to both teams.
