Saturday 26 November 12:30 - The event not to be missed!
The Tally Hobbs Memorial series is a one day race event alternating yearly between RFBYC and SOPYC to bring together the Western Australian fleets to remember and celebrate the life of Tally Hobbs who was responsible for the introduction of the Flying Fifteen into Australia in 1950.
Racing will be conducted using fixed marks in the area known as Freshwater Bay and Melville Water West. Warning signal for race 1 on the 26 November will be 1230. Races 2 to 5 will follow as soon as practical following the previous race.

Light refreshments will be provided at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club following racing on the 26 November 2016. Results will be announced at the RFBYC Senior Clubhouse from 1730.
The Tally Hobbs trophy will be presented at the FFIWA State Championship Regatta at Easter 2017 in Geraldton.
Places in each race will contribute toward the overall score of the FFIWA Walkabout Series. The Tally Hobbs Series is Walkabout 3 of the Walkabout series.

FFIWA has been advised there will be a tow for all boats coming from SOPYC to the event.
