The Flying Fifteen rewards hard work, but being a keel boat is tolerant of wide range of crew weights, skills and levels of agility. The boat attracts enthusiastic sailors of all abilities, including Olympic champions and females and male teams. World championships have been won with combined crew weights from 150kg though to 200kg – whether you are large or small the Flying Fifteen will suit you. The Western Australian fleet boasts four former world champions.  Sailors range from teenagers to retirees – the teenagers definitely don’t have it all their own way! In such a large fleet there are always opportunities to find a position on board.
